Grant Funding

INTRODUCTION
A key objective of the Medical Oncology Group of Australia (MOGA) is to encourage and support MOGA members in professional endeavours, to improve the field of medical oncology in Australia and to contribute to on-going professional development. With a recent increase in funding to support this aim, MOGA is now accepting formal applications for funding to aid members in their personal oncology initiatives; examples of eligible projects include research projects, education/training programs and community outreach.

MOGA hopes to increase the funding available for projects to improve the study, treatment and prevention of cancer over the coming years. MOGA recognises the need to acknowledge and support the ambitions of members who wish to use their skills and experience to reach beyond their clinical practice—not only to propel forward oncological research across a wide spectrum of disciplines, but additionally to improve patient quality of life and provide outstanding educational services.

MOGA funding is not a duplication of other grants available, for research purposes or otherwise, but instead is designed to support, improve, grow and supplement original approaches proposed by members to existing issues in the practice of medical oncology in Australia. Relevance, feasibility and innovation are key scoring criteria for the funding application.
