Are you thinking about undertaking a PhD in cancer research?
Join us for the Scaling New Heights PhD Opportunities Showcase, presented by Sydney Catalyst, the translational cancer research centre of central Sydney and regional NSW. This is your chance to hear about some amazing opportunities available to you from our unique multi-disciplinary, multi-institutional consortium that includes over 600 individual members from a diverse range of clinical and research member groups. We are all working towards our common goal of improving outcomes for people affected by cancer and want to share what we know about post-graduate cancer research with you!
During a casual afternoon meeting scheduled for Wednesday, 23rd August, you will have a unique opportunity to meet Sydney Catalyst members from the University of Sydney (including representatives from various research departments and centres from the Faculties of Science, Medicine, Science, Health Sciences, Nursing, and others), Medical Research Institutes including the Centenary, the Garvan and the ANZAC Research Institute, and Local Health Districts.
Check out our evolving program for details on PhD presenters, a thought-provoking panel discussion and your chance to join the 'Impression Sessions', a speed-dating style affair designed to help you meet and question as many Sydney Catalyst members and potential supervisors as possible. Whether you know exactly what you want to do, or are still considering the options, this event will provide you with what you need to know if considering a career in cancer research, starting with a PhD. Space is limited, so register now.
We hope to see you there!
