The Company: Linear Clinical Research Ltd is a purpose built, early phase clinical trials facility operating out of the Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital Campus in Perth. Founded by the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research (Perkins), Linear has Western Australia’s only dedicated early phase clinical trials facilities located in Nedlands and Joondalup. But that's not all! Linear also has a Medical Oncology Trials Unit which has over 40 trials actively recruiting and a growing trial portfolio delivering one of the highest new patient recruitments in Australia. Due to this, we have recently opened a new Advanced Clinical Trials Centre within the QEII Medical Campus.
The Role: We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic physician with a vision for improving medical oncology services through the provision of clinical trial treatment options for patients.
The Role: Evaluation and management of participants on early phase oncology trials. There will also be an opportunity to evaluate potential trials, participate in safety review meetings and interact with local and international pharma and biotech companies.
Duties:
- Ensure the preparation for all studies is completed in a timely manner
- Maintain appropriate knowledge of study protocols and awareness of progress across all studies
- Ensure the sharing of acquired knowledge with the wider medical team
- Ensure that consent and screening visit procedures are independently performed for participants in clinical trials
- Ensure that eligibility for clinical trials is determined in an accurate and timely manner
- Collaborate with both the oncology and haematology project teams, consult investigators and referring physicians as relevant
- Ensure participant safety at all times by conducting medical assessments, monitoring, and providing a high level of care at all times
- Manage and review and all adverse events in accordance with relevant study protocol
- Maintain a strong quality focus with the aim of exceeding sponsors expectations
Skills and Experience: The successful candidate must be registered with AHPRA and must have pursued the FRACP written clinical examination. Prior medical oncology experience is required and experience in the clinical research setting will be highly regarded. Salary based on AMA/WA agreement including attractive salary packaging offered.
