Phase 1 Early Drug Development CRC Fellow

Full time - 1 Position

The Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre is recognised globally as a leader in Cancer Drug Development, is the largest unit in Australia, and conducts a large number of early phase trials. With a strong focus on immuno-oncology, ADCs and molecularly targeted therapies, including first in man trials with new agents and novel combinations, along with the integration of innovative platforms such as genomics into clinical trials; this position provides an outstanding opportunity to develop experience in the development of cancer drugs/clinical trials and clinically-focused translational research. This is a highly mentored position, which is embedded into the Phase I/Early Drug Development Program, and is ideally suited to Advanced trainees who are completing or have just completed their FRACP.

Key responsibilities will involve both clinical trial work and medical oncology care. This fellow position will have a predominant focus on caring for patients on clinical trials, whilst working with the phase 1 unit, the position will be a joint role with the colorectal tumour stream, with an additional focus on colorectal cancer trials as well as the opportunity to attend colorectal clinic. There are numerous research opportunities available. It is also possible to work towards commencing a higher research degree.
