Call for Expressions of Interest: Advanced Cancer Therapeutics In Oncology Working Party

MOGA Members are Invited to Submit EOI To Join The Advanced Cancer Therapeutics In Oncology Working Party

The Advanced Cancer Therapeutics In ONcology (ACTION) Working Party has been established by the Medical Oncology Group of Australia (MOGA) to provide a national forum for advancing access to innovative cancer treatments beyond traditional pharmaceuticals.

Advanced therapeutics include cell therapy, gene therapy, theranostics and other emerging technologies that do not follow the standard PBAC reimbursement pathway. With a focus on cell therapy, initially, ACTION will drive advocacy, foster collaboration, policy and strengthen patient access. The group will engage with stakeholders on a national level to support evidenced based, equitable and impactful integration of advanced therapeutics into Australian cancer care.

Once formed, the Group will meet monthly, to begin with, to establish the first project party focused on Tumour Infiltrating Lymphocyte therapy in Melanoma.  Members will be expected to read the required background reading, as stipulated by the chair and actively advance the agenda of the Group.
