MOGA Members Receive Complimentary Registrations to Colorectal Cancer Masterclass 2026
The Peter MacCallum Lower Gastrointestinal Oncology Service would like to invite MOGA members to the fourth Colorectal Cancer Masterclass on Friday 18th September 2026.

The Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre is Australia’s only public hospital solely dedicated to cancer treatment, research and education. The Centre treats more cancer patients each year than any other hospital in Australia, and the world renowned highly skilled medical, nursing and allied health team is backed by the largest cancer research group in the country. The Lower Gastrointestinal Oncology Tumour Stream/Service at the Peter MacCallum, comprises of specialists from several disciplines, highly educated to the individualised management of colorectal malignancies and is supported by leading edge clinical and laboratory research across the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre campuses. The Tumour Stream has a state-wide regional and international referral base, consulting on over 400 new patients per year.
The Colorectal Cancer Masterclass will comprise of a one-day meeting, with clinical problem based lectures from relevant specialists on all aspects of the individualised multidisciplinary management of these malignancies: from diagnosis, imaging, surgery, medical and radiation therapy. This will be based on the Unit’s extensive experience and treatment guidelines. The lectures will also be reinforced by 3 live multidisciplinary meetings throughout the day. The aims of the meeting are to emphasize the current standards, and common dilemmas of Sponsored bymanagement for patients with colorectal tumours. The meeting will also emphasises the need for an individualised treatment approach based on disease biology, disease extent, and the requirement for a multidisciplinary management plan.
The meeting is sponsored by an educational grant from Merck and the content is purely under the direct control of the Peter MacCallum Lower Gastrointestinal Oncology Service.
Participants will include junior consultants and fellows, including medical oncologists, radiation oncologists and colorectal surgeons, with an interest in gastrointestinal oncology.
The meeting is planned to be face-to-face, with flights, accommodation and ground transfers in Melbourne included for delegates.
