Medical Oncologist, Peninsula Health & Monash University

Mahesh is Head of Oncology Unit at Peninsula Health, with an interest in precision oncology, genomics, and health services research. He treats patients with breast, genitourinary, and gynaecological cancers and leads the cancer research program at Peninsula Clinical School. Mahesh completed a PhD in translational breast cancer research, focusing on cancer genomics and the development of neoadjuvant studies, helping define their role in breast cancer management. His research program is aimed at improving outcomes for breast cancer patients and enhancing the quality of cancer services, ensuring better support and care throughout the cancer journey.
