This YOGA Educational Evening brings together early-career medical oncologists for an expert-led evening on contemporary challenges in breast cancer management. Held in an intimate dining setting, the evening fosters open discussion, peer learning and connection.

Dr Sanjeev Kumar
Chris O’Brien Lifehouse
Dr Sanjeev Kumar is a Consultant Medical Oncologist at Chris O'Brien Lifehouse and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, and a Clinician Scientist in the Biomedical Innovation Hub. He grew up in regional Australia, completed undergraduate medical studies at UNSW, and trained as a Medical Oncologist in Central Sydney and in the United Kingdom.
He embarked on a Cancer Drug Development fellowship with the University of Cambridge UK in 2015 and was subsequently awarded a University of Cambridge and Cancer Research UK scholarship in 2016 to complete a cancer molecular biology PhD at the Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute, with a focus on Oestrogen receptor-positive breast cancer.
Sanjeev returned to Australia in 2019 to continue his clinical and academic focus on breast cancer. He has worked clinically as a medical oncologist at the Kinghorn Cancer Centre, Westmead Hospital and now solely at Chris O’Brien Lifehouse and RPA. His clinical interests include the treatment of young women with breast cancer, neoadjuvant therapy approaches and treating high risk breast cancers. He has a keen interest in the education of trainees, public engagement, biomarker research and clinical trials.

Dr Monica Tang
Prince of Wales Hospital
Dr Monica Tang is a Medical Oncologist and Staff Specialist in Cancer Survivorship at the Nelune Comprehensive Cancer Centre, Prince of Wales Hospital, where she specialises in the treatment breast cancer and leads the Cancer Survivorship Service. She is a Senior Research Fellow at The George Institute for Global Health and Conjoint Senior Lecturer with the Faculty of Medicine and Health, UNSW Sydney. Her areas of research interest include breast cancer, cancer survivorship and health services research, with a focus on using real-world data to drive improvements in cancer treatment and outcomes in Australia.
