Timely Palliative Care: A Practical Framework is an online course designed to support specialists and trainees caring for people with cancer to introduce palliative care alongside active treatment and navigate conversations about referral with greater confidence.

Developed by Palliative Care Australia in partnership with the Australian and New Zealand Society of Palliative Medicine (ANZSPM), the course provides practical guidance across three modules:

  • Palliative Care in the 21st Century

  • Discussing a palliative care referral

  • Taking your skills into practice

The course is free, takes approximately one hour to complete and is accredited for CPD through the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP).
