TROG Cancer Research is calling for expressions of interest (EOI) for a Medical Oncology – Discipline Representative on the TROG SCIENTIFIC COMMITTEE (TSC).
We are looking for professionals with clinical trial experience and a background in Medical Oncology to fulfill the Discipline Representative position on the committee.
The Trans Tasman Radiation Oncology Group (TROG) is one of the largest cancer clinical trials groups in Australia and New Zealand. Established over three decades ago, TROG has facilitated more than 110 clinical trials, involving over 15 200 volunteer cancer patients. The organisation collaborates with more than 180 hospitals and cancer centres globally, comprising a multidisciplinary team of oncologists, radiation therapists, physicists, and researchers dedicated to advancing cancer care through rigorous research. TROG Cancer Research primarily focuses on radiation therapy, which is critical treatment modality for various types of cancer.
What is the TROG Scientific Committee?
The main aim of the TSC is to ensure that TROG’s mission, to revolutionise cancer care through impactful radiation medicine research to cure cancer and improve quality of life, is met. TROG aims to conduct high quality, practice changing research and the TSC supports this through facilitated discussion and endorsement of clinical trial concepts and proposals submitted by our members via the TROG New Proposals Pathway, oversight of active trials and ensuring appropriate and timely reporting of research findings. What are the appointment details?
Term length; 3 years; with the option for reappointment for a second term.
The TSC meetings are held quarterly. Upcoming meeting date 06/11/2025.
