RACP Foundation Research Awards

Funding rounds are now Open

Applications are now open for the RACP Foundation Research Awards, which provide research funding for 2026. Up to 50 awards with a total value of around $2.5 million are available to RACP Fellows and Advanced Trainees from Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand

  • Career Development Fellowships – close Monday 30 June 2025

  • Research Establishment Fellowships - close Tuesday 8 July 2025

  • Research Entry Scholarships (PhD) – close Tuesday 15 July 2025

Expressions of Interest | reviewers

The RACP Foundation is calling for Expressions of Interest for reviewers to assist the College Research Grants Committee to review applications for the 2026 RACP Research Awards. Full details are available on the RACP website . Closing date 1 July 2025

Calls for Nominations | Eric Susman Prize

The Eric Susman Prize is a prestigious award for the best contribution to the knowledge of any branch of internal medicine.

The Eric Susman Medal is presented at the RACP College Ceremony. Nominations are now being accepted for 2025

2025 RACP College Medals and Meritorious Awards

The annual awards presented by the College to its members in their respective fields, are an acknowledgement by peers of outstanding contributions and achievements which otherwise be might not be recognised publicly.

· The John Sands Medal for significant contribution to the welfare of the College

· The College Medal “hominum servire saluti” for significant contribution to medical practice, healthcare, and health of the people/community

· The RACP International Medal

· The RACP Medal for Clinical Services in Rural and Remote Areas

· The Eric Susman Prize for medical research

· RACP Mentor of the Year Award

The 2024 award recipients will present their research at a Symposium to be held in the historic RACP Sydney building on the afternoon of Friday, 8 August 2025
