Through protected research time and cross-border exchange, ESMO Fellowship awardees contribute to real-world, people-centered impact across the global oncology community.

ESMO Leadership and Career Development Award

The ESMO Leadership and Career Development Award offers the opportunity to combine protected time to dedicate to a research project with leadership skills training. The fellowships will be distributed worldwide, and we particularly welcome projects focused on clinical or translational research and capacity building.

Duration: 1 year Award: EUR 60,000 (100% protected time) or EUR 30,000 (50% protected time)

ESMO Digital and Computational Pathology Fellowship

The ESMO Digital and Computational Pathology Fellowship has been created by ESMO, with support from AstraZeneca, to help physicians passionate about precision medicine to explore innovative solutions in digital and computational pathology.

Duration: 2 years Award: EUR 200,000

José Baselga Fellowship for Clinician-Scientists

The José Baselga Fellowship for Clinician Scientists has been created by ESMO, with support from AstraZeneca, for physicians who wish to progress as clinician-scientists, helping them to create a professional environment with protected time for research, adequate resources and mentorship.

Duration: 3 years Award: EUR 200,000
